Much of the information we seek as anglers overflows from magazines, workshops, seminars, sport shows, events, tackle stores, newspapers, bait manufacturing companies and the Internet. There is no shortage of opinions or stories in the world of fishing. Fishing is supposed to be exciting, fun, and productive. Ray Scott introduced the first Bass Tournament, followed soon after by the introduction of the bass boat. This brought about the roots of tournament bass fishing forever changing the fishing industry.
Today with tournaments waning and their impact on our industry lessoning, we see fishing returning to its origins less the influence of big money winnings diluting the principles of fishing. The impact of professional bass tournaments on the sport of fishing has been profound, positive, and negative. One thing which has not changed is the desire for anglers wanting to learn how to become more successful without thinking they need to be a professional tournament angler to do so.
The National School of Fishing is and will always be identified as providing anglers with "Continued Angler Education" an effort we originated and continue to exemplify today. One such benefit is On-Line Courses, a new, exciting, and first of its kind opportunity for anglers to experience learning in an entirely new dimension. What happened to the how, what, where and when of fishing. There is no substitute for practical, useful, reliable, proven, and factual information.
The National School of Fishing does not have all the answers nor will we ever have. What we do have is 28 years of educating anglers that has been refined, scrutinized and structured into on-line classes that extrapolate the how, what, where and when of fishing. Learn from home or work. You choose how much, how often and how long. It's perfect and you can have fun doing it. You ever take a course on-line? You can now.
Scheduled for the fall of 2010 you will be able to take On-Line courses. Be sure to check back often and follow our progress. If you have anything to add, please drop us a line. We would like to know your thoughts also so that we may build off your opinions and suggestions.
